The PDO in Emilio Butragueño’s visit to the Real Madrid supporters’ group “La Quinta del Buitre” in Adamuz
The Designation of Origin Montoro-Adamuz presented Emilio Butragueño with Extra Virgin Olive Oil during his visit to the Real Madrid supporters’ group “La Quinta del Buitre” in Adamuz.
Emilio Butragueño Santos, ex-footballer and current director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid, was the true star of a magical night in Adamuz, in which the Real Madrid supporters’ group “La Quinta del Buitre” celebrated its silver jubilee.After the dinner a number of souvenirs from the district were presented, among them the magnificent oil from the Designation of Origin Montoro-Adamuz, and there were gifts for the chairmen of the groups attending, among which were those from Monturque (Cordoba), Marmolejo and Jamilena (Jaén); Cúllar (Granada); Toledo; and Magaluz (Palma de Mallorca).
Emilio Butragueño was also made an honorary member of the club and the Mayor, Manuel Leyva, presented him with a sliver replica of the clock tower. Butragueño said that “this response amazes me, especially because I ended my professional career 13 years ago, in 1998, but strangely your love and affection remains intact and that is something that fills us with satisfaction“. And he added that “I am delighted to be with you all. It has been a short visit, but the knowledge that you are great Real Madrid supporters and wonderful hosts will stay with me“. As a reminder of his visit he left one of his shirts, with yesterday’s date, recalling the dinner and he dedicated it to the group.
