The Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) system is applied to agri-food products whose quality or features are due basically or exclusively to typical human and/or natural factors of the geographical area in which they have been produced.
The DO Montoro-Adamuz name can only be used by the products covered by that PDO. All products covered by a PDO must comply with production quality standards and have the following characteristics:
- They originate from that region, place or country.
- Their quality or features must be fundamental or exclusive to the geographical area and its natural or human factors.
- Their production, processing and preparation are performed in the defined geographical area.
